====== Here I describe the installation, configuration and/or use of various software and hardware ======
First of all, it should be noted that how-tos should be treated like recipes. HowTo's provide a guide that you can use to work your way through a task.
In contrast to cooking recipes, all information must be observed with a sense of proportion, which means that something may have changed or I may have forgotten something. \\
A few ground rules:\\
  * First read the whole recipe and try to understand
  * If you have any questions or need further information, there is nothing to stop you from doing an internet search
  * In search engines, hits can also be limited to a certain period of time, hits from the last millennium are not very helpful
  * Google is not the only search engine, [[https://duckduckgo.com/|DuckDuckGo]] does not track and the number of advertising links is significantly lower
  * I try to keep everything up to date here but am limited in my time. Reading elsewhere also helps
  * I can't stress this enough, reading installation and configuration manuals is not optional, it's mandatory.
  * Anyone using a search engine is well advised to note when an article was written. Instructions from the last decade are often outdated.\\ As a first step, I recommend narrowing the search results to the last year and only delving further into the dawn of computing when necessary.
